MDINA — Local resident Mario Mizzi claims he has discovered the cause of constant traffic jams in Malta: foreigners. The 42-year-old salesman is now proposing a new law to send them back. ‘We don’t have traffic jams when locals drive, it’s like a magic trick!’ he said while sipping a Kinnie.

Mizzi explained his logic further, stating, ‘When I’m stuck in my car behind a foreigner, I don’t understand why they’re driving so slow. Uwejjah, they must be thinking it’s their own road!’ He expressed serious concern regarding visitors using roundabouts the wrong way.

Many locals seemed to agree with Mizzi, with some saying that they thought of foreigners as “living roundabouts,” causing chaos wherever they go.

‘Foreigners should at least learn the local traffic signs before they come here,’ said Karmenu, a pizza vendor who noted a spike in sales of pastizzi during peak traffic hours.

Mizzi’s proposal sparked discussions on social media, with some suggesting that parking wardens should serve as ‘workers for the cause’ and start ticketing foreigners on the spot.

At press time, Mizzi was last seen arguing with a tourist about the proper way to park a car on Republic Street.
