If You Think a Story is About You
It isn't. All characters are fictional. All events are invented. If the story feels uncomfortably accurate, that is satire doing its job, not us having access to your WhatsApp group.

We occasionally welcome pitches from writers who understand that the headline is the joke, that deadpan is a lifestyle, and that a well-placed "mela" can carry an entire paragraph. Send your pitch to hello@timesofmela.com with the subject line "Pitch" and we will get back to you eventually, which in Malta means within two to six business days or possibly never, we are working on it.

If you have a complaint about a piece of content, please email us and we will review it promptly. "Promptly" is defined here according to standard Maltese time, which is to say: with genuine intention and reasonable eventual action.
