VALLETTA — In a bold move to invigorate local tourism, the Maltese government has officially declared the beloved three-minute queue at the pharmacy in Valletta as a new cultural heritage site. Locals and tourists alike can now experience the thrill of waiting for their favorite medicine, complete with guided tours and photo ops.

”It’s a part of our history, really,” said Tourism Minister Karmenu. “People have waited in this queue during summer heat and winter rain. It’s therapeutic. Plus, we saw how much time people spent here during the 2020 lockdown. We just had to immortalize it!”

Keychains and Guided Tours

Visitors can now purchase souvenir keychains featuring the last remaining packet of paracetamol from the 2020 lockdown, preserving a significant piece of Maltese history. “I never thought I’d remember 2020 for waiting in line, but here we are!” said tourist Marija.

“Is this where I sign up for the tour or for my meds?
