MARSAXLOKK — A group of retired fishermen in Marsaxlokk has recently launched a dazzling new startup: ‘Cappuccino Catching’ workshops. Participants will learn how to brew the perfect cappuccino while throwing nets into the sea, all in the spirit of multitasking.
Tumas, the brain behind the idea, explained, “We figured, why not combine our two passions? Who needs a tranquil café setting when you can catch a fish while sipping your coffee?” Many locals have already signed up, but some are still trying to figure out how to catch fish without spilling their precious froth.
Fishermen Turn Baristas
The concept revolves around the use of specially designed nets with holders for coffee cups. “It’s revolutionary! Uwejj, I can finally enjoy my morning caffeine while getting my daily dose of fresh fish!” insists Marija, a local resident who’s already imagining a “Cappuccino and Ġbejniet” combo.
“This will change the way we think about brunch in Malta,”
Critics fear this innovation could lead to cases of confused fish and coffee-drunk fishermen, but Tumas reassures that the nets are fully equipped with insulated compartments to keep your coffee hot. “A hot cappuccino is essential, otherwise why even bother?” he declared.
Workshops will begin next month with a limited-time promotion: catch your fish or your coffee is free! This has sparked excitement, although some locals are skeptical about getting wet while trying to perfect latte art.
At press time, an emergency coffee spill and fish escape drill has been scheduled for next week.
